Bob – Owner/Operator
Growing up, one of his first jobs was mowing lawns which turned into landscaping homes around the neighborhood. His love of outdoors and entrepreneurship is what motivated him to open his own business in 1979, naming it Green Acres. Over the last 39 years in business, Green Acres has grown from a one man operation into a large family business specializing in all outdoor landscaping and hardscaping needs. Most days you can find Bob helping customers in the yard, loading trucks, and managing the entire business. His favorite part of coming to work each day, is getting to work with his wife, and children.
His Favorite Plant: Purple Leaf Beech
Sina – Owner/Operator
Sina started working with her husband Bob at Green Acres after they got married and has been working side by side with him ever since. With over 39 years in the business, she has done all jobs through the company to help build it to what it is today. Now you can find Sina in the office or cooking something for the staff to eat at lunch. She’s mom to all of the staff and helps make all of our customers feel welcomed to the store. Her favorite part of coming to work each day is working with her family.
Her Favorite Plant: Miss Kim Lilac
Mike – Project Manager & Design Specialist
Mike is the second generation in the business and has been working at the store since he was a young boy. Starting out helping customers and maintenance of the nursery. After graduating from Temple University with a degree in horticulture and landscape architecture, he is a large part of the daily operations of the business. With over 20 years of experience he specializes, in designing the dream backyard for customers including outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and patios. He enjoys working hard and loves making his customers’ outdoor dreams a reality.
His Favorite Plant: Rising Sun Red Bud
Marisa – Office Manager
Marisa is the second generation in the business and has been working at the store since she was a little girl, starting out by sweeping the store and learning on the register. With over 15 years in the business, you can now find her in the office taking care of accounting, scheduling, advertising, material orders and more. Her favorite part of coming to work is bringing her dog Bella with her and seeing her family every day.

Ken – Foreman
Ken has been part of the Green Acres team for over 25 years. Most days you can find Ken delivering materials, managing trucks and equipment, and aiding installations as foreman. Ken enjoys talking to customers and learning their names to help make each experience enjoyable and personal.
His Favorite Plant: Ornamental Grass
Matt – Project Manager & Design Specialist
Matt joined our team in 2019 as a nursery stock manager. After earning his Bachelor’s degree of Science in Landscape Architecture At Del Val University, he is now a full time Design Specialist and Project Manager. His favorite part about working at Green is creating relationships with clients and making their visions turn into a reality.
His Favorite Plant: Purple Coneflower
Bella – Chief Barker
Bella loves greeting customers with a nice loud howl and making everyone feel welcomed with wagging her tail. If she isn’t begging for your attention or for some food, you can find her sun tanning in the office. Thanks to Bella and our love for animals, we have a full line of organic and animal friendly gardening products.
Her favorite plant: Blueberry Bush, because they’re delicious!
Chubby – Chief Mouser
Chubby is our friendly 3-legged mouser. She is bashful and shy but once she gets to know you, she’ll be purring in no time. Most days you can find Chubby roaming the grounds protecting the plants from different critters or sun tanning on the patio.
