Understanding Your Green Acres Watering Guide
Thank you for your recent purchase. Be sure to follow these important watering steps to provide proper hydration for your new plant material. This allows the root systems to grow deep and wide, helping the plant get established so it can thrive in its new environment.
Watering Schedule
June – August:
Water 2–3 times per week for 1–2 hours.
March, April, May, September & October: Water 1–2 times per week for 1–2 hours.
Schedules may vary depending on rainfall, plant type, or location (e.g., swale areas).
The Right Equipment
For all new plant material, use ONLY an Impulse Sprinkler.
This simulates natural rainfall and ensures the entire root ball is fully soaked for proper absorption of water and nutrients.
Things NOT To Do
- No hand watering (no watering cans or buckets)
- No soaker hoses or gator bags
- No leaving a hose at the trunk
These methods often cause under-watering and dehydration. If your plant’s leaves are browning or curling, it is a sign of under-watering and you need to increase your schedule.
